03. Hairline Design & Marking
Before extraction
On the day of your procedure, our ReGrow Medical team carefully designs and marks your new hairline using precision markers. This artistic step considers your facial proportions, age, and personal preferences. You review and approve the design before any extraction begins.

04. Local Anesthesia Administration
Before treatment
Local anesthesia is administered to both the donor and recipient areas. Numbing injections can cause discomfort. Tell the team if you feel pain during treatment so they can assess your comfort and adjust care.

05. Follicle Extraction (FUE)
Time varies by graft plan
Using a precision micro-punch tool, our highly experienced ReGrow Medical team individually extracts follicular units from the donor zone. Each graft contains 1–4 hairs. The extraction pattern is distributed evenly to maintain natural donor density. Patients typically watch TV, listen to music, or rest during this phase.

06. Graft Sorting & Preservation
Concurrent with extraction
As grafts are extracted, our skilled medical technicians sort them by follicular unit size (1, 2, 3, or 4 hairs) and place them in a specialized preservation solution. Careful handling and preservation are part of protecting the grafts before placement; survival and final growth vary.

A few questions before you begin.
How long does an FUE hair transplant take?
Many FUE procedures take most of a day, but the duration depends on graft count, treatment areas, technique, and complexity. Larger plans may require more than one session. Confirm your arrival time and expected schedule with the clinic.
Do I need to shave my head?
Not every treatment plan requires a full-head shave. ReGrow Medical offers non-shave FUE for suitable candidates; trimming varies by patient and procedure. Discuss your hairstyle, donor area, and coverage goals during the consultation.
Will I be awake during the procedure?
FUE is commonly performed with local anesthesia. Your team will explain the planned anesthesia and any sedation, what you may feel, and any transportation requirements. Tell them if you feel pain or need a break.
When can I return to work and exercise?
Your return depends on the procedure, healing, and the demands of your work or activity. Ask for individualized instructions before scheduling. Keeping surrounding hair longer does not remove the need to protect healing grafts.
What should I bring to my consultation?
Bring your medical history, a list of medications and supplements, details of previous hair-loss treatments, and your main goals. Photographs of changes over time can help. Ask about candidacy, graft planning, costs, who performs each step, and follow-up care.
What follow-up care is included?
